Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Installation Technician to oversee installation projects and lead installation teams. You’ll be responsible for ensuring quality installations while mentoring assistant technicians and maintaining our high standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation crews on residential and commercial HVAC projects
- Plan and coordinate installation schedules and logistics
- Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and local codes
- Install heating, cooling, and ventilation systems from start to finish
- Supervise and train assistant installation technicians
- Conduct quality control inspections and system commissioning
- Interact with customers to explain system operation and answer questions
- Maintain accurate installation documentation and warranty paperwork
- Coordinate with sales team on job specifications and customer expectations
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and professional at all times
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC installation experience
- Experience leading installation crews or projects
- Knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Understanding of electrical connections and gas piping
- Familiar with local building codes and permit requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Physical ability to work in various environments and lift heavy equipment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Leadership skills and ability to train others
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school or technical college HVAC training
- EPA Universal Certification
- Experience with high-efficiency and smart home systems
- Manufacturer certifications (Carrier, Trane, etc.)
- OSHA safety training certification
