Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems. You’ll be the face of our company, building relationships with customers while solving their heating and cooling challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
- Perform system maintenance including tune-ups and cleanings
- Install replacement parts and components
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
- Complete accurate service documentation and work orders
- Educate customers on system operation and maintenance
- Upsell maintenance programs and additional services when appropriate
- Maintain van inventory and company tools
- Participate in on-call rotation during peak seasons
- Follow all safety protocols and industry best practices
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of HVAC service experience
- EPA Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Experience with residential and light commercial systems
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of refrigeration principles and gas heating systems
- Physical ability to work in crawl spaces, attics, and outdoor conditions
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school or technical college HVAC training
- NATE certification
- Experience with maintenance program sales
- Smartphone/tablet proficiency for service software
