Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Installation Technician to oversee our most complex installations, manage multiple crews, and serve as a technical expert for challenging projects. This is a senior leadership role for an installation professional ready to take their career to the next level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple installation crews on complex commercial and residential projects
- Serve as technical expert for challenging installations and system designs
- Plan and schedule installation projects to maximize efficiency and quality
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys and coordinate with sales team
- Train and mentor lead and assistant installation technicians
- Ensure all installations meet or exceed manufacturer and code requirements
- Handle customer interactions for high-value projects
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and develop creative solutions
- Maintain safety standards and conduct safety training for crews
- Participate in project bidding and cost estimation processes
- Interface with general contractors, engineers, and building inspectors
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience
- Minimum 2 years of crew leadership or supervisory experience
- Expertise in commercial and complex residential HVAC systems
- Advanced knowledge of electrical, gas, and refrigeration systems
- Thorough understanding of building codes and permit processes
- Experience with system commissioning and startup procedures
- Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Proven leadership and training capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school or technical college HVAC degree
- EPA Universal Certification required
- NATE certification preferred
- Multiple manufacturer certifications
- OSHA 30-Hour safety certification
- Experience with building automation and control systems
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred)
