Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Technician to handle our most complex service calls, mentor junior technicians, and help drive our service department’s continued growth. This is a leadership role for a seasoned professional who can work independently and represent our company’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system problems across all equipment types
- Handle high-priority and challenging service calls requiring advanced expertise
- Mentor and train junior technicians and apprentices
- Lead service department initiatives and process improvements
- Sell maintenance programs and system replacements when appropriate
- Maintain highest customer satisfaction standards
- Participate in emergency on-call rotation as needed
- Complete detailed service reports and recommendations
- Assist with warranty work and manufacturer relationships
- Train on new technology and equipment as industry evolves
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience
- EPA Universal Certification required
- NATE certification preferred
- Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with commercial and residential systems
- Proven track record of customer satisfaction and retention
- Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
- Leadership and mentoring experience
- Strong communication and sales skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school or technical college HVAC degree
- Additional manufacturer certifications
- Experience with maintenance program management
- Smart home and IoT HVAC technology knowledge
- Spanish language skills (growing customer base)
